This weekend I attended an introduction to screen printing course at the Printhaus workshop in Cardiff. The two day course run by Jude Lau gives people the opportunity to create their own 3 colour print and to learn about the different techniques and processes involved in screen printing. I have been interested in learning to screen print for sometime now and I’m really pleased I finally attended the course. It wasn’t as easy as I thought but it’s great to get more hands on with producing my artwork. I’m hoping to incorporate printing into a new body of artwork I’m working on for exhibition next year but to also allow me to take my design work to the next level being able to print it for clients. The next step will be to get a membership for a printing workshop to develop what I learnt this weekend and to explore the technique further. Here’s a picture of my finished print.

You can pick up a copy of the magazine free all over Cardiff if you are interested in getting a copy.
